Pinky Palkar (Deepika Padukone) is the archetypal Mumbai chawl girl who dreams big, despite her lowly surroundings. She may be working as a shop assistant yet she is hell bent on climbing the social ladder with her skating skills which she proposes to showcase in a television talent show, hoping to win the Rs 50 lakh award in the competition. But her best laid plans go awry when boxer-gangster, One-Shot Nandu (Neil Nitin Mukesh) hits her headlong with his car and causes her to go blind. The rest is repentance, remorse and romance, where Nandu tries to teach his victim to see with her heart, while Pinky hopes to draw the tapori away from his violent world.

Movie Review: It's a familiar world of bhais, boxers and bustee wallahs which Mumbai cinema has created and re-created, time and again that stares at you in Lafangey Parindey. And it's this familiarity of character and script that actually works against Pradeep Sarkar's third love story which comes after Parineeta and Laaga Chunari Mein Daag. There is an overriding sense of deja vu that overcomes you as you watch the cliche-ridden script unfold in a predictable fashion, where the rough-edged gangster is involuntarily drawn towards his sweet yet strong victim. And yet, it isn't easy to write off the film completely.

So what works in its favour? Mostly, it's the performances that lift the film from the mediocrity of its script. Neil Nitin Mukesh has already proved his forte at playing edgy characters in films like Johnny Gaddaar and New York. Once again, he interprets One-Shot Nandu, the blindfold boxer who fells his opponent with a single shot and works for gangster Usman Ali (Piyush Mishra), with characteristic elan. Never hysterical and suitably restrained, Neil's Nandu is the dormant volcano kinda tapori who may be an invincible fighter but desperately fights shy of all emotions. Deepika Padukone's Pinky too manages to touch your heart with her starry ambitions and her raw courage, although Deepika does pitch the emotional quotient somewhat low in an attempt to create a realistic Maharashtrian mulgi, unlike Priyanka Chopra's Sweety, the siren in Kaminey. Together, the duo manage to create a sweet love story with some unusual encounters like watching a movie together, learning to skate-dance together, getting moony on a train top.

Equally arresting is the eminently watchable Piyush Mishra who always manages to add a maniacal zeal to his portrayals. Sadly, his character remains some what undeveloped in the film and the viewer ends up wishing he had more to do.

Add to this, a lyrical music score by R Anandh, with lilting numbers like Man Lafanga and Nain Parindey and some dazzling choreography on rollerskates by Bosco-Caesar, and you have a film that makes up for pleasant viewing. A little more verve however would have gone a long way in energising the show.

Ananthapurathu Veedu tamil Film Review :

Magnificent director Shankar has been producing quite a number of beautiful projects recently, the latest being Eeram. Ananthapurathu Veedu, which belongs to the horror genre, deals with supernatural powers; it is directed by ‘Marmadesam’ fame Naga. Shankar is known to produce movies with a difference and when Naga approached him with different scripts, Shankar was impressed with all the options and gave Naga the freedom to choose whichever he wanted.
But Naga’s  Ananthapurathu Veedu is truly different from his gripping TV show ‘Marmadesam’.
About The Story
Ananthapurathu Veedu revolves around a married couple (Nanda and Chaya Singh) and their son Aananth (Aryan), who returns to their hometown to stay in their ancestral house that has been locked for the past 25 years. Nanda’s parents died in a car accident when he was 15 years old and since then, nobody has entered the house.  Here, mysterious events happen and the haunting begins.
But unlike many supernatural thrillers, in Ananthapurathu Veedu the spirits wants to express their love and care for the family rather than haunting them.
First, Revathy (Chaya Singh) experiences some unusual activities and begins to suspect all is not well. Slowly, Revathy understands that the unusual events happening around them are due to the spirits of Nandha’s parents who are here to help them.
Trouble began in the form of some goondas who keep following Nanda and his family. Now comes the twist, Nanda and his working partner (Krishna of Chidambara Rahasyam fame) had borrowed Rs. 50 lakhs from a local moneylender and now they are unable to pay it back! This was the reason behind Nandha’s decision to return to their ancestral house after so many years.
Finally, Nanda decides to sell his ancestral house and solve the problem, but will his parents’ spirits allow him to do that? What happens next is a series of interesting events; his mother’s care, father’s dream, long time servant’s concern for the family and above all Krishna’s selfishness (which is the main cause of all his problems). How will the spirits of Nandha’s parents help him overcome all these troubles? This forms the rest of the story with a thrilling climax.

Kaadhal Solla Vandhen is a Tamil movie released on 13th August. Kadhal Solla Vandhen is directed by Boopathi Pandian and acted by Balaji Balakrishnan, Meghana Raj etc. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s mesmerizing songs are special attraction for Kaadhal Solla Vandhen. Here are Kaadhal Solla Vandhen Movie Reviews and Kaadhal Solla Vandhen Movie Ratings from different reviewers.

The Story : Kaadhal Solla Vandhen is a forthcoming 2010 Indian Tamil romantic film written and directed by Boopathy Pandian, which stars Balaji Balakrishnan of Kana Kaanum Kaalangal fame, Meghana Raj and Karthik Sabesh in lead and Arya in a guest role. The film, previously titled as Naanum En Sandhyavum and Naan Avalai Sandhitha Pozhudhu, is produced by S3 Films and features music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Kaadhal Solla Vandhen  tamil Movie Review :
Comedy and romance are the biggest strength of Boopathy Pandian. He proved it in his previous films like Devadayai Kandein and Thiruvilayadal Aarambam. Once again he has come out with a same formula. Kadhal Solla Vandhen speaks about a boy's desperate love for a girl, who is 2 years elder than him. Though it begins as a routine commercial style in a college campus, it takes twists and turns and ends on an interesting note.

Prabhu (Balaji), is a fun-loving, happy-go-lucky guy, who always loves to tease others. But all of a sudden, he completely changes his thought process and falls in love at first sight with Sandhya (Meghana Raj). He starts loving her without even knowing her name or any other details. Things starts getting worser when he realizes that Sandhya is 2 years elder to him. But, Prabhu finally decides to stick on his love and decides her to win at any cost. What happens next should be seen on-screen.

Though the film starts comically, it gets a bit serious towards the climax. Balaji has shown maturity in the film and his performance is better in this flick than his debut film Pattalam. Sabesh Karthik is refreshing and gives a relief through his lively comedy. His body language and dialogue delivery evokes instant laughter. Meghana Raj looks like Nayanthara in some angles. She is gorgeous and its tailor made role for her. The plus point of the film, is the outstanding music of Yuvan Shankar Raja and photography of Rana. K.L. Praveen and N.B. Srikanth's Editing is okay. The drawback of the film is climax, which is a predictable one. Director could have handled it better. Nonetheless, Kadhal Solla Vandhen is a time pass movie.

The Story : INIDHU INIDHU is a remake of telugu blockbuster "HAPPY DAYS".8 young talented new faces are set to act in this film. The cast includes Narayan (Tyson), Sonia (Shravs), Arun Iswaran (Sidhu), Reshmi Menon (Madhu), Vimal (Vimal), Bennas (Appu), Sharan Sharma (Shankar), GiaUmar(Sangeetha), Sunny Sawrav (Sanny Balboa), Abhishek (Arjun), Krishna (Sanjay), Ajay (Ajay).
The ensemble makes all the difference in the film about college, relationships, friendship and brings about family bonding and values. A perfect potpori of emotions, drama, humor and overall fun...

Inidhu Inidhu  tami Film Review :
Prakashraj's penchant for meaningful movies is known to everyone. His production ventures never failed to entertain and appease the film- loving audience. After a handful of such films like 'Mozhi', 'Vellithirai' and 'Abhiyum Nanum', he has come out with 'Inidhi Inidhu', a remake of Telugu hit 'Happy Days', which speaks about love, friendship, fun, hatred and jealousy in a college campus, in a realistic manner.
A feel-good film, this Tamil version by cinematographer-turned- director Guhan is breezy and takes one to the college campus. Though a host of films set in college life is there in Tamil cinema, what works wonders for 'Inidhi Inidhu' is its fresh casting, catchy visuals and simple and casual dialogues.
The story penned by Shekar Kammula is straightforward and a sincere attempt. It doesn't get preachy or goes too dramatic. Close to reality, the movie shows the life of teenagers, their pressures in academics, friendship and the bond they share with parents.
Sidhu (Adhith), Tyson (Narayanan), Vimal (Vimal), Shankar (Shravan), Madhu (Reshmi), Jiya Umar (Sangee) and Appu (Fenas) are a bunch of freshers in a college. They all together make a fine gang. Soon Sidhu and Madhu, Shankar - Sangee, Appu and Vimal make a pair. Meanwhile, Tyson ends up falling in love with a senior Sravanthi (Sonia).
There comes a host of fun-filled moments besides hatred, jealousy and emotional moments in their lives. The rest of the story is how they spend their four years of their education in the campus and express love for their respective dear ones.
All the new kids have done well. Narayanan as Tyson walks away with all honours. As an innocent and intelligent youth, he is an apt cast. Vimal who plays a comical role is fresh and impresses with his one- liners.
Reshmi in the female lead (enacted by Tamannah in the original) plays it with ease and elegance. Sonia as final year student puts up a dignified performance, while Fenaz is impressive. Unfortunately Adhith as Siddhu fails to recreate the bubbly energy when compared to the one who performed the role in 'Happy Days'.
Guhan has not just wielded the megaphone well but cranked his camera in an engrossing way. He has brought out emotions well in the scenes of separation and reunion between the pairs. Also the visuals are soothing. A couple of songs by Micky J Meyer is ok. But the rest sounds very alien.
On the flip side, at many places, the ego clash between the pairs reminds one of 'Kushi' and also the narration becomes very slow towards the second half. However on the whole. Prakashraj and Guhan deserves credit for giving a feel-good and a healthy entertainer amidst mindless masalas.
